Now one individual has disclosed how they’re residing beside a nightmare neighbour after their irritating morning routine resulted in £150 worth of damage.

They described how the male neighbour, thought to be in his 50s, operates an automatic sprinkler system which activates each morning at 6:30am, but the difficulty is – it’s positioned to spray directly onto their vehicle parked on their drive.

Writing on Reddit, the person stated: “My neighbour (late 50s) has an automatic sprinkler system that turns on every morning at 6:30am. One of his sprinkler heads is angled directly at my driveway where I park my car.

“Every single morning my car gets completely soaked. We’re talking drenched – water pooling on the hood, all over the windows, everything. My car is constantly covered in water spots and mineral deposits.

“I’ve asked him FIVE TIMES to adjust that sprinkler head. He says “the system is professionally installed and calibrated perfectly” and refuses to touch it.”

Following a demonstration of the water volume striking the vehicle, the neighbour responded: “A little water never hurt anyone,” and that they ought to be thankful he’s “helping” to clean their car without charge.

However, as the vehicle’s paintwork has sustained damage from mineral deposits, the individual has been forced to spend £150 for a professional to repair the water marks.

Hoping their neighbour might cover the cost, they were instead met with laughter and told it was their own problem.

They added: “I’ve started parking on the street but it’s a 5 minute walk to my house and street parking is limited. My own driveway should be usable!

“I adjusted his sprinkler head myself one morning. He called the cops on me for ‘tampering with his property’. The cops said I can’t touch his stuff even if it’s spraying onto my property.”

Wrapping up the post, the individual alleged the neighbour has now deliberately angled the sprinkler to spray even more towards their driveway, stating: “I think he’s doing it on purpose.”

Following the post on social media, numerous people rushed to the comments section. After accumulating nearly 500 responses, many suggested getting their own revenge.

One commented: “Grass killer stuff. Spray it on the plastic sheet. Angle it so it drains back onto his grass.”

Another contributed: “Even common kitchen salt would probably do the trick.”
