Princess Catherine has a roster of stylish black boots in her wardrobe, including the pair she wore in Scotland earlier this week. She chose classic black suede ankle boots, a style that perfectly balances elegance with practicality – the latter being the order of the day, given she was trying curling on an ice rink.

Catherine’s boots are from Italian fashion house Tod’s and the latest version of the design retails for £730. Like Catherine’s, the Maddy ankle boots are suede with elasticated inserts and a low heel.
