Spring celebration season is on the way, whether it be a wedding in the calendar, or a holiday marked for the future, there are many reasons why people are racing to snap up Roman’s popular Cream Floral Print Pleat Neck Midi Dress. Shoppers are calling the ‘very elegant’ monochrome midi dress ‘great value’ at £45, stocked in sizes 10 to 20.

One of the most frequently noted events Roman customers are wearing this frock for is a spring or summer wedding. Not only should the dress keep wearers cool and comfortable all day, it’s a figure flattering option ideal for a day where photographs will likely be taken.

Someone left a review that reads: “I bought this beautiful dress it to wear for a spring wedding. It is fully lined and the material is perfect for such an occasion. I teamed it with a smart lightweight black M&Co jacket.”

A second person declared they ‘had many compliments while wearing this dress’ and another customer called it ‘perfect for a mature lady’ thanks to the ‘higher neckline’. Other features on the dress include pleated details and a tie belt that can cinch the waist in.

Applauding the dress for being versatile, one shopper said: “This is a lovely ‘take you anywhere’ dress suitable for normal day wear but also for an occasion such as a wedding.” It could be re-worn post a special event, such as to work, paired with ballet pumps and a cardigan.

Made from a chiffon fabric the dress is adorned with a blooming floral line print. A five star review says: “Material drapes well, love a dress with sleeves. Looks expensive and it didn’t break the bank. Going on a cruise next year, this dress will definitely be going in my suitcase.”

Deducting one star, someone else simply put: “I would have given it 5* had it been available in petite.” Phase Eight have an extensive petite collection and many of them are currently on sale.

The Petite Natalie Midi Dress is also black and white with florals, however, it has long sleeves rather than Roman’s short. It would typically cost £149 but is on sale for £89.

For an alternative short sleeve choice, Debenhams has reduced this black and white ditsy floral midi dress from £45 down to £33.75. One customer called it ‘very pretty’.

Back to Roman’s offering, delighted shoppers have said they think it is ‘lovely for weddings or garden parties’. Someone even wrote: “Beautiful dress. Very smart and classy. Comfortable and easy to wear. My husband, who is not one for comments said it looks like a dress for a wedding or tea at the palace. Looks more expensive than it was.”

Wearing it to their ‘granddaughter’s wedding last week’, a happy shopper said they were ‘very pleased how comfortable it felt’.
