M&S £18 cardigan hailed as ‘perfect for summer’ and ‘so comfortable’

Marks and Spencer shoppers have been rushing to purchase a lightweight cardigan that they describe as “perfect” for summer. British summers can be unpredictable, with many wanting additional layers for their outfits.

Numerous shoppers have been drawn to the Crew Neck Cropped Cardigan, which is “stylish” and pairs well with summer dresses and skirts. It is Marks and Spencer’s second bestselling item in the knitwear category and costs £18. The cardigan is available in five distinct colours, including grass, black and soft white.

Marks and Spencer also stocks English Rose and Cornflour shades, which were discounted to £9 in the sale but have since sold out online.

The available cardigans come in sizes extra small, small, medium, large and extra large. Marks and Spencer’s description states: “Add a pretty layer to your outfits with this cardigan.

“Slim fit for a sleek silhouette, with a cropped length and short sleeves for a modern look. Complete with a comfy crew neckline and a neat button-through fastening.”

Numerous shoppers have shared glowing reviews, with one stating: “Perfect fit and really good quality. So pleased it looks just right with several of my summer dresses.”

Another remarked: “Wonderful soft cardigan that sits on the waist. Great value for money and well made.” Another shopper wrote: “Bought this cardigan in pink and it doesn’t disappoint. The colour is lovely, the fit is perfect ( size small) and it looks great with jeans, smart jogging bottoms and skirts. Price wise it’s a bargain and the quality hasn’t been compromised. I love it.”

A fourth added: “Lovely pink cardigan for spring and summer. Easy to wear and very comfortable, probably wear it buttoned up as a cute top. Great value.”

Despite the glowing feedback, some customers felt the cardigan was too short. One shopper said: “Reluctant return. Lovely top and seems good quality but too short in the length for me.”

Another noted: “The cardigan is well designed, and looks smart when worn. I am tall and unfortunately it’s too short for me.”

A further reviewer stated: “I didn’t realise this would be as cropped as it stated. Nice material but didn’t look right on me. Worth the money though if you are looking for a cropped top.”

It retails at £24.90 and is available in sizes extra, extra small through to extra, extra large. New Look, meanwhile, offers a Lightweight Short Sleeve Cardigan in cream and brown for £27.99, with the light green and blue versions reduced to £20.99.
