These new robot lawnmowers trim your edges

Anker’s new robot lawnmower might take over for your weedwacker, too. Announced at IFA 2026, the Eufy Robot Lawn Mower S2 Max comes with an extendable trimming arm to clean up the grass around your driveway and flowerbeds.

The dual-blade mower offers vSLAM navigation that uses built-in cameras to build a 3D map of your yard, eliminating the need to set up boundary wires or a Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) base station. Anker says the Mower S2 Max can map and mow up to 3.7 acres, while handling yards with up to 80 percent (38-degree) slopes. The robot mower is AWD and will launch in May 2027 for €3,999. There’s no word on US pricing or availability yet.

As built-in edgers crop up in robot mower models from Segway, Ecovacs, Roborock, and now Anker, even Mammotion is jumping on the bandwagon with the newly announced Luba 4 AWD, which uses an edge-cutting attachment to trim against walls, fences, and garden borders.

The Mammotion Luba 4 AWD roves your yard using four cameras on the front, sides, and rear of the device, along with a 360-degree LiDAR system and network RTK, which taps into the cloud for navigation. Mammotion says the three-sensor system helps to ensure “zero dead zones and zero drift.” Additionally, the Luba 4 AWD comes with independent front-wheel steering, helping the mower change directions without U-turns that might leave tracks on your yard.

The Luba 4 AWD is available in three models, with the 3000F cutting up to 0.75 acres and the 6000F handling up to 1.5 acres. The 12000F is designed to cut up to 3 acres, but it doesn’t support the edge-trimming attachment. The dual-disc system on the 3000F and 6000F models supports a wider 17.3-inch cutting width, while the three cutting discs on the 12000F span 20.9 inches. Mammotion plans to open preorders for the Luba 4 AWD later this year, but it hasn’t shared details on pricing yet.
