Full list of high-street stores closing in April — Marks and Spencer, New Look and more

Marks and Spencer’s regional manager Katie Whelan said that after reviewing certain stores, they are “re-purposing the café space to provide more product choice and improve the shopping experience”. She added: “We understand this will be disappointing news for some of our customers; however, our teams will continue working hard to serve them in-store.” M&S cafes have daily offers for shoppers, including 10% senior discount and a kids’ menu for £4.50.

Fashion retailer New Look closed 51 UK branches last year, with one more closure expected this month. The New Look store in Carrickfergus, in Northern Ireland, is holding a closing-down sale, with its final day being April 15.

The retailer has confirmed closures in April include the Redruth and Stanley branches. Last month, the company shut down the stores in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cromer, Gorleston-on-Sea, Snettisham, Garstang, and Bungay.

The affected shops are currently offering a closing-down sale with items up to 85% off.
