A new luxury coastal retreat in West Cornwall is attracting attention from holidaymakers looking for a seaside escape. The four-bedroom property, called Morva, sits near St Ives and overlooks Carbis Bay.
Designed with a reverse-level layout to make the most of the sea views, the contemporary home offers sweeping coastal scenery from almost every room. It sleeps up to eight guests and includes a private hot tub, tiered patio garden and a large balcony for outdoor dining.
The property accommodates up to eight guests and features premium amenities, including a private hot tub situated in a tiered patio garden. Guests can also enjoy alfresco dining on a spacious balcony that offers panoramic views of the changing tides.
The property features a spacious contemporary kitchen with ample natural light and space for preparing meals. A separate snug provides a quiet area for relaxation, and a family shower room is located on the main entrance level.
On the lower floor, the lounge is decorated in coastal-inspired tones and includes patio doors that open onto a balcony with views across the bay. This level is designed to make the most of the seaside setting and provides access to outdoor seating areas.
The lower ground floor includes a family bathroom, an en-suite super-king-size bedroom with a balcony terrace, two king-size zip-and-link bedrooms that can also be arranged as twin rooms, and an additional king-size bedroom. Each room is finished in a consistent contemporary style throughout the property.

On the first floor, the dining room offers elevated views across the rooftops towards the sea. Large windows allow plenty of natural light and make the most of the coastal outlook.
Outside, the tiered patio garden includes decking areas suitable for outdoor dining and enjoying the surrounding views. The property also features a hot tub and private parking for up to three cars.
Direct access to the South West Coast Path from the bottom of the garden allows residents to stroll down to the beach within minutes. The nearby town of St Ives provides additional entertainment with its iconic Tate gallery and vibrant culinary scene.
St Ives is a great place for families with its beautiful beaches with soft golden sand and calm, clear water. Beaches like Carbis Bay and Porthminster Beach are perfect for young children as the water is usually gentle and safe for paddling and swimming.
There’s also plenty to do away from the beach. Families can wander through the pretty cobbled streets, visit Tate St Ives, or take a fun ride on the St Ives Bay Line along the coast.
The town is easy for families too, with lots of cafes by the beach, lifeguards in summer, and everything you need nearby. It’s a lovely mix of relaxing beaches and fun activities that makes it a great spot for a family holiday.

If Morva isn’t quite right, St Ives Townhouse is a grand, three-storey property sleeps eight guests and welcomes up to two dogs. Featuring a beautiful wood burner and an enclosed raised garden, this property also offers spectacular views over the town and sea.
Alternatively, Treetops in Carbis Bay is perfect for larger family getaways. A spacious home, it sleeps eight guests, allows pets, and is nestled in the scenic area of St Ives.
For those who prefer a caravan holiday at a park resort instead, Parkdean Resorts has several sites in the region. Holywell Bay Park is further up the coast than St Ives, but is a short walk to a stunning beach.

Guests who have already stayed at Morva have left glowing reviews on the website. One visitor said: “Absolutely stunning house, slept 8 of us comfortably. Views are insane. Walk to St Ives around 15-20 mins along the coastal path. Would highly recommend this house.”
Another added: “A beautiful house with the perfect location. Comfortable beds and fantastic hot tub with views of the sea. Such a beautiful beach with an easy walk. Beautiful views wherever you are in the house. Clean and stylish with lots of areas for a large group to hang out.”
One visitor was less impressed, however, noting: “Most amenities you could need, but a few minor things missing, so I would check before your visit to ensure you have all that you need, as it is not easy to contact owners while you are there. Good WiFi but no phone signal there.”
Another delighted visitor had nothing but praise, saying: “The location couldn’t have been better, perched above Carbis Bay with a short, scenic walk down to the beach and the excellent restaurants at the Carbis Bay Hotel.
“For those who enjoy walking, St Ives is also within easy reach. Overall, everything about this house was exceptional, and we would absolutely return.”
