Boots shoppers get £223.56-worth of hair products for £50

Boots has quietly become one of my go-to spots for beauty bags and boxes, regularly dropping seasonal edits stuffed with everything from trend-led makeup and skincare tailored to the season to sunny-weather essentials like SPF. Now, though, the retailer has turned its attention to hair care, launching a beauty box dedicated entirely to premium hair products from some of the biggest names in the business, including Amika, Kerastase, OUAI and Aveda.

According to Boots, the contents would cost £223.56 if purchased separately. However, shoppers can snap up the box for just £50, delivering a hefty saving of £173.56.

And judging by early reviews, customers think it’s money well spent. One shopper said: “Brilliant. I’m battling dry hair at the moment, so this box has come at just the right time. Gorgeous products at an amazing price. Highly recommend and can’t wait to use them.”

Another added: “What a fantastic selection of top brand products. I really don’t know what to try first. There are shampoos, conditioners, leave-in conditioners, pre-shampoo oil, dry shampoo, hair mask, tangle teezer brush, hair clips, plus more. All I’ve wanted to try in my battle against dry frizzy hair at a bargain price. I would totally recommend!”

The products arrive beautifully presented in a white-and-gold-detailed box that feels gift-worthy straight out of the box. In fact, it’s so pretty that you could probably skip the wrapping paper altogether. Of course, there’s nothing stopping you from treating yourself instead. It’s a great excuse to test-drive a range of premium products or simply replenish your hair care stash.

Inside, you’ll find 15 hair care products in total. Seven are full-size, while the remaining items are travel-sized and under 100ml, making them ideal for slipping into your toiletries bag or hand luggage if you’re heading off on holiday this summer.

As you’d expect from a hair-focused edit, there’s plenty in the way of cleansing and conditioning. Highlights include a full-size Wella Professionals Ultimate Colour Sulphate-Free Shampoo, a travel-sized Kerastase Nutritive Bain Satin Riche Shampoo, a full-sized Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Extreme Rich Deep-Conditioning Treatment, plus a travel-sized Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Joia Milky Leave-in Conditioner and Kerastase Nutritive Lait Vital High Nutrition Ultra-Light Conditioner.

The box also features a selection of leave-in treatments and masks designed to give dry strands some extra TLC, including the Amika Soulstruck Nourishing Leave-in Dry Hair Mask and the Aveda Botanical Repair Strengthening Leave-in Treatment.

Shoppers will also receive either a OUAI Hair Treatment Masque Deluxe for Thick Hair or for fine/medium hair. These are selected at random, so it’s worth bearing in mind if you had your eye on one particular version.

The edit also includes a few useful accessories, such as a Tangle Teezer detangling hairbrush (I have one and it’s my absolute go-to) and soft hair clips from JVN, the brand owned by Queer Eye’s Jonathan van Ness.

As is often the case with Boots beauty boxes, though, hesitation could mean missing out. Once these edits sell through, they rarely stick around for long. Boots has not confirmed whether it plans to re-stock the Premium Hair Edit Beauty Box, so this could be your only chance to get your hands on one.
