‘Boomer’ baby names make a stylish comeback in 2026
Choosing a baby name can be a major decision for parents. However, lately, many have been turning to the past for inspiration. Vintage, old-fashioned names that once felt dated are finding new life.
Names such as Robin, Lenny, and Bonnie are reappearing on contemporary baby name lists. With so many options available, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. To make things simpler, we’ve explored Nameberry to showcase names that may rise in popularity in 2026.
In their book Beyond Jennifer & Jason, Nameberry explains the “100 Year Rule,” which suggests that baby names usually come back into style about a century later. However, some names are returning much faster – sometimes after only about 30 years. Influencers and celebrities have also started using names from the Baby Boomer era.
These so-called “A-OK Boomer Names” are a new trend, bringing 1950s-style names back into fashion and making them feel modern again.
