Russell Crutchfield, chief operating officer in Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s office, was named president of Gordon State College in Georgia, effective Aug. 1.
John Dolan, head of school at St. Mary’s Lynn, was appointed president of Elmira College in New York, a position he assumed July 1.
Caroline Attardo Genco, provost and senior vice president at Tufts University, has been selected as president of the University at Buffalo, part of the State University of New York system, effective Aug. 10.
Donald Green, president of Gordon State College in Georgia, was named president of Valdosta State University, also in Georgia, effective Aug. 1.
Ayanna Howard, dean of Ohio State University’s College of Engineering and Monte Ahuja Endowed Dean’s Chair, has been appointed president of Spelman College in Atlanta, effective Aug. 1.
Michelle Johnston, president of Georgia Southwestern State University, has been appointed president of the University of Montevallo in Alabama. Her last day at Georgia Southwestern State was June 30.
Anastasios Kamoutsas, Florida’s commissioner of education, was named president of Polk State College, also in Florida, effective July 6.
Chris Mallett, chief administrative officer at Northeastern University’s Roux Institute, was named the president of Weber State University in Utah, effective Aug. 1.
Nelu Nedelea, system vice president of mission and ministry for Mercy Health System, was appointed president of Southwestern Adventist University in Texas, effective July 15.
Susan Rogers, chief of staff and vice president for institutional effectiveness at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., was confirmed president of Central Maine Community College, effective Aug. 10.
Dawn Meza Soufleris, vice president for student development and campus life at Montclair State University in New Jersey, was selected as president of SUNY Brockport, effective July 20.
Evon Walters, vice president of strategic initiatives and community engagement at the Community College of Allegheny County, has been named president of Clark State College in Springfield, Ohio, a position he assumed July 1.
Isaac Zúñiga, executive vice president of academic and student success at Richland Community College in Decatur, Ill., was selected president of Richard J. Daley College in Chicago, effective this summer.
