Aldi’s new summer gadget ‘looks like’ Ninja but is £180 less

UK homeowners who would like to treat themselves to a new kitchen appliance, but aren’t sure about the price, could consider a new bargain alternative coming to Aldi this week. Shoppers might think the supermarket’s device is similar to a major brand, but it is being sold for a fraction of the price.

Arriving in stores across the UK on Thursday, July 16, is Aldi’s new Ice Cream Maker for £69.99, alongside Aldi’s latest line-up from the Modern Kitchen range. Available to claim in the middle aisle later this week, shoppers may notice that the device has similar features to the Ninja Creami.

As of Monday, July 13, the well-known appliance brand is selling the device at a discounted price of £199.99, down from £249.99. This makes Aldi’s £69.99 version – which also has settings to whip up frappes, smoothie bowls and gelato – cost £180 less than the usual price of a Ninja Creami.

Aldi said: “Create delicious homemade ice cream, sorbet, milkshakes and even frozen cocktails with this must-have summer appliance. Easy to operate, with a self-cleaning function, an adjustable blade, and fully dishwasher-safe accessories, it’s the perfect gadget for cooling down on hot days.”

Each set includes three 500ml preparation cups with lids, allowing for easy batch prep of specific flavours ahead of when people fancy a sweet treat. The gadget includes 10 preset programs, depending on what customers want to make with their frozen base:

• Sorbet
• Gelato
• Frozen Yogurt
• Smoothie Bowl
• Frozen Drink
• Milkshake
• Slushie
• Cofffeecino

Bargain hunters will need to act quickly if they want to own one of these devices because, as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone. Aldi rarely restocks items once stores run out during the SpecialBuy release windows.

What else is coming to Aldi this week?

As part of the kitchen range, the budget supermarket is bringing back some previous sell-out appliances such as the Combi Zone 9L Air Fryer (£49.99 – black only), the High Speed Blending Set (£19.99 – black, blue or cream) and the Milk Frother (£14.99 – black, blue or brown).

The supermarket is also offering shoppers the ‘matching sets’ to complete the look on kitchen countertops with the Haptic Kettle and Toaster (both £12.99 each, available in blue or beige). See more of the upcoming Kitchen deals online here.

The Thursday refresh also includes garden items, such as foam footballs, water guns and sand pits. Later in the same week, from July 19 (Sunday), shoppers will see more summer garden items in stock – such as garden games, bubble blasters and a dinghy explorer boat.
