Krauss was advised to take a “vocal rest” to ensure a full recovery

Alison Krauss and Union Station announced that the upcoming dates of their Arcadia tour have been canceled after Krauss was advised to take a vocal rest.

The news was shared on Krauss’ social media. “It is with great regret that Alison Krauss & Union Station have announced the cancellation of our upcoming tour dates,” read the post. “After consulting with medical professionals, Alison has been advised to take a period of vocal rest to ensure a full and healthy recovery.”

The statement added that the “decision was not made lightly as we are deeply committed to our fans. However, prioritizing health and vocal integrity is imperative at this time.”

The affected shows include a stop in Davenport, Iowa, which was scheduled for Friday, along with dates in St. Louis, Austin, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. The nixed concerts also include a three-night run at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

All tickets will be fully refunded, and the statement directed ticketholders to reach out to their point of purchase for any questions.

The Arcadia tour was in support of the first album in 14 years from Krauss and Union Station, her longtime acoustic band. Billed as a collection of songs that are “contemporary reflections on history,” the LP includes tracks written by several writers, including JD McPherson and Sarah Siskind, and marks Krauss’ first album with Union Station, the band she joined as a teenager, since Paper Airplane back in 2011.
