Sean Connery’s only Oscar win film is leaving Netflix soon | Films | Entertainment
Back in 1987, Brian De Palma directed the classic gangster film The Untouchables. Kevin Costner stars as real-life Prohibition agent Eliot Ness in 1930s Chicago, where he forms his Untouchables team to take down Robert De Niro’s Al Capone. His dry agents are played by Sean Connery, Charles Martin Smith and Andy Garcia. The film also covers how the law enforcement group brought down Capone by focusing on his tax evasion, which led to his imprisonment at Alcatraz.
The well-reviewed film features Ennio Morricone’s Grammy Award-winning score and was nominated for four Oscars. Connery went on to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, his only Oscar.
The last day to watch The Untouchables on Netflix is August 26.
