Fans were inexplicably refunded and the Salt Lake City music festival’s online presence was erased

Yours Always, a two-day music festival scheduled for Oct. 2 and 3 at Salt Lake City’s Utah State Fairpark, has been cancelled without notice. The inaugural festival was set to feature Benson Boone and Sombr as headlining acts.

According to fans on Reddit, ticket holders received refunds last week via email but weren’t given an explanation. The organizers subsequently deactivated the festival’s website and social media accounts. One fan noted that their “support email” came back as “invalid” when they tried to contact Yours Always. Per a screenshot shared on X, fans were told that the festival was cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

One fan noted on Reddit, “Just happy I got my money back and hadn’t told my daughters about it. They would be devastated.”

Another wrote, “My girl originally bought a ticket for Benson Boone is Wyoming, then this showed up so got her a ticket for this as it had multiple artist she wanted to see. Sold her Benson Boone ticket and now this is cancelled. Feel like this was a giant grift or something, like it was never going to actually happen. But yea very thankful refunds are going through.”

Others mourned the fact that the festival was Sombr’s only local concert. “Yeah I’m pretty sure it was cancelled, very glad you got your money back because this is so upsetting, especially because other than this festival there is no salt lake date,” a fan wrote. “so sad wish he would come here.”

Stephen Sanchez, Labrinth, Joshua Bassett, Daniel Seavey, Bella Kay, BØRNS, the Hellp, Voila, and Thomas Day were also on the bill for Yours Always, which was announced in June. Tickets went on sale June 26. The festival was described as “a new music experience coming to Salt Lake City,” according to an archived version of its website.
