The country group surprised 37,000 audience members at Boston’s Fenway Park with a trip on Margaritaville at Sea in honor of 15 consecutive sold-out shows

Zac Brown Band channelled Oprah Winfrey on Sunday night as the group surprised all 37,000 audience members at their Fenway Park concert in Boston with trips aboard the cruise ship Margaritaville at Sea.

The unexpected gift was in celebration of the band performing 15 sold-out concerts at Fenway Park. Frontman Zac Brown made the announcement before the band’s performance of “Same Boat.”

“Tonight we’re going to do something that even Jimmy [Buffett] would say is crazy,” Brown told the crowd. “I’m buying every single person here a cruise for two people on the boat. This is the biggest giveaway in history ladies and gentlemen, right here tonight at Fenway Park.”

Attendees can redeem their gift on select Margaritaville at Sea sailings over the next year. The total voyages are valued at more than $40 million, according to a press release.

Christopher Ivy, Chief Executive Officer of Margaritaville at Sea, said in a statement, “We were honored to work alongside Zac to help bring this incredible surprise to life for his fans. This was an extraordinary way to thank the fans who have supported him throughout his career, and we’re proud to have helped make that incredible vision a once-in-a-lifetime reality.”
