Aldi announces 16 new store openings across UK — full list of locations

Aldi has announced the full list of new store openings taking place across the UK, with 16 locations set to open their doors over the next few months. The announcement comes after news of its continued investment in expanding its footprint across the country.

Aldi, which now has more than 1,080 stores nationwide, will open new locations in areas including Watford and Hoxton in London, Hattersley in Greater Manchester, and Balsall Common and Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands. Other locations will be opening up in Wales, Kent, Essex, and North Yorkshire.

The latest openings are a part of Aldi’s long-term plan to operate 1,500 stores across the UK, helping more communities access its award-winning quality products at unbeatable prices. The announcement follows the opening of Aldi’s new Salford Quays store last month and forms part of the retailer’s planned £370 million investment in new stores during 2026.

Earlier this year, Aldi increased pay rates for store colleagues following a £42 million investment in pay during 2026. Store Assistant pay now starts at £13.50 per hour nationally, rising to £14.47 based on length of service, while colleagues within the M25 receive £14.88 per hour, increasing to £15.20 with service.
