Beauty expert Keeks Reid appeared on This Morning recently to offer advice on encouraging healthier locks, especially for anyone noticing dry or thinning hair. Among the expert’s recommendations was a hair serum from Champo, which has been endorsed by celebrities including Vicky Pattison (who previously said she swears by it for thick hair).

The 30ml bottle of Pitta Growth Serum is still in stock on Champo’s website, retailing for £34. For those wondering why the formula has gained such popularity, it’s designed to minimise hair loss and shedding “within 12 weeks of daily use”, according to the brand.

The serum uses caffeine, tetrapeptides and ayurvedic haritaki extract to boost volume at the roots, whilst energising the scalp for “fuller, stronger hair”, according to the brand. Champo claims the bottle sells every 30 seconds, and 90% of customers have noticed a reduction in hair loss.

The product has garnered an average rating of 4.6 out of five stars, with hundreds of customers bestowing it with glowing reviews.

One delighted buyer stated: “This is a miracle hair growth serum. I’ve just seen some photos of my hair from only a few months ago, and I can’t believe how much better it looks now than it did then. Thicker, softer and healthier, with re-growth around the front hair line/fringe and temples, which makes it fall better at the sides with no gaps. Please don’t ever stop making this.”

However, one shopper said: ” To be honest, the serum did not meet my expectations. I liked the packaging, and it felt high-quality.

“It spreads well on the scalp and doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy. Unfortunately, there is no effect (no noticeable increase in volume or growth of new hair). I have been testing the serum for two months now and will not be buying it again.”

The beauty expert highlighted 10 additional products formulated to promote hair growth. Among them is the Manta Original Anti-Breakage Hairbrush, available in five shades for £30 on Amazon.

Another product Keeks recommended for longer hair is the Umberto Giannini Rosemary Oil from LookFantastic (£7.46, was £9.95), which is said to visibly mend and protect tresses from further damage. For those interested in exploring similar haircare products, the beauty guru also recommended Fable and Mane’s HoliRoots Hair Oil, available from £15 on Cult Beauty, and the Aveda Invati Ultra Scalp Serum, obtainable in a 30ml size for £21 at Sephora, reports The Mirror.
