The sudden, unexpected warm day on Wednesday, with parts of the South enjoying temperatures up to 17C and sunshine across many other regions, got me thinking about the spring days ahead and all the outfit opportunities. Of course, if there’s one style icon we’re always looking at, it’s Princess Catherine – and she has one blouse that has been a hit in spring and summer seasons gone by.

One spring favourite of the royal is her pink gingham blouse from Scottish luxury brand Brora. In previous seasons, the £129 item has been so popular that it quickly sold out. However, the brand has restocked it ahead of the warm weather. The blouse is currently available in all sizes, from eight to 18, with the exception of size six, which currently isn’t in stock (and it is unclear if the brand will re-stock).

The Princess of Wales first wore the Brora design in 2022 while baking cupcakes with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in a charming video shared online.

Light, feminine and with playful gingham print, the blouse has a flattering V-neckline framed by a signature Chelsea collar and finished with delicate frill edging. Short sleeves make it ideal for warmer days, while split side seams at the hem create an easy silhouette whether worn tucked into jeans or left loose over tailored trousers. A neat button fastening runs down the front, and it is crafted from 100% breathable cotton.

Customers have hailed this piece, with one happy shopper sharing: “I love the Cotton Gingham Chelsea Collar Blouse, I own two! Beautiful design and colour, great quality fabric and sewing work. It’s not too long or too short, you can tuck it in or leave it out. V-cut is not too low; it’s just right. Perfect for spring and summer!” While another agreed: “Both pretty and smart. Beautifully made and comfortable to wear. So versatile that I have bought another one in blue!”
