New Paul McCartney documentary film in cinemas for one day only – Get tickets | Films | Entertainment
After a decade in the world’s biggest band, The Beatles split up in 1970 and solo careers beckoned.
Paul McCartney was very much a Man on the Run, the title of a new documentary on his life post-Fab Four and through the formation of his new band (on the run), Wings.
Alongside the trailer above, the official synopsis teases: “Man on the Run takes viewers on an intimate, vulnerable journey through Paul McCartney’s extraordinary life following the Beatles’ breakup and the formation of Wings with his wife, Linda. [Director Morgan] Neville chronicles McCartney’s solo career as he faces emotional, artistic, and personal challenges while defining a new decade of music. Through unprecedented access to previously unseen footage, rare archival materials, and deeply personal interviews, the film captures a transformative era—one marked by reinvention, family unity, artistic risk-taking, and the iconic Wings years.”
Paul McCartney: Man on the Run is set to stream globally on Amazon Prime Video from February 27. But now a one day only cinematic release has been announced for Thursday, February 19. This version will include a bonus filmed conversation between Macca and director Morgan Neville, which will be exclusive to cinemas.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, February 4 at 2pm GMT and can be purchased here.
