Choosing a favourite Christmas movie isn’t easy for everyone, but sometimes there’s one that just stands out.

Back in 2022, Oscar-winner Rami Malek was a talking head on CNN’s Christmas at the Movies, which is streaming on NOW.

When asked what his No 1 Christmas film of all time was, the Freddie Mercury star replied: “Home Alone”.

He shared, “God, it’s hard to beat Home Alone for me. Macaulay Culkin, iconic performance.”

The 1990 comedy classic follows eight-year-old boy Kevin McCallister, who is accidentally left home alone during Christmas and has to defend his house from a couple of burglars with hilarious slapstick consequences.

Culkin starred in the first two Home Alone movies, directed by Chris Columbus and written by John Hughes, with music composed by John Williams.

Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York are available to stream on Disney+ and Channel 4.
