One film fan who has seen 3400 films says there’s one that’s a must-watch.

The man, who posts on an account under the name of @sethsfilmreviews, says out of the thousands of films he has watched, there’s only a select few which get a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.

In a video on the platform, he lists his “perfect” films, one of which is Parasite – he says the movie is “as good as advertised”.

Parasite (2019), directed by Bong Joon-ho, is a South Korean dark comedy thriller about the poor Kim family infiltrating the wealthy Park household by posing as skilled workers.

As their deception deepens, class tensions explode, leading to shocking violence.

Blending satire and suspense, the film explores inequality, greed, and social division.

Parasite won four Oscar awards including best director, and best original screenplay award.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a score of 99% – a near-perfect rating which you’ll rarely see.

One person who watched the film said: “This is a work of Art not a movie, absolute masterpiece!! Engrossing, shocking, emotional and raw….a must watch.”

Another penned: “One of the best films of the decade.”

The film was released in 2019, a strong year for cinema. At the Oscars, Parasite was up against Joker, 1917, Endgame and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Tatler says: “Amazing direction, inspired camera work, great cast, genre flips, meta humor, a lingering sense of dread, as you realize that the fatal flaws in society highlighted in this movie are reaching a breaking point, a point at which that society either collapses in on itself or changes beyond what its original vision intended.”

You can watch Parasite on Prime Video or Netflix.
