Luke Combs made the most out of every moment onstage at Stagecoach 2025 — even during other artist’s performances. The country star headlined the country music fest on Sunday, April 27, with an extensive set list full of original hits, cover songs, and special guests.

The musician ran through 10 songs of his own before welcoming Bailey Zimmerman to the stage to perform their unreleased collaboration “Backup Plan.” Later in the set, Combs welcomed Good Charlotte to the stage to perform their song “The Anthem” and his own “Where the Wild Things Are.” He closed out the set with Garth Brooks joining him for a cover of Dewayne Blackwell’s “Friends in Low Places.”

Throughout his set, Combs also performed his Grammy Award-winning rendition of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” and a medley of cover songs that included Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Love,” Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles,” the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army,” Dire Straits’ “Sultans of Swing,” and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Gimme Three Steps.”

But the end of Combs’ set wouldn’t be the last Stagecoach saw of him on Sunday night. Following his performance on the Mane Stage, the singer-songwriter joined Backstreet Boys over on the Palomino Stage for a performance of their hit “I Want It That Way.”

Later this summer, Combs will make appearances at the Newport Folk Festival, Lollapalooza, Boston Calling, and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Having already carved out a place for himself in country with a distinct vision, Combs looks forward to festival runs where the type of collaboration and fandom he showed off at Stagecoach can flourish organically.

“I’m never going to try to write a Zach Bryan song or a Jason Isbell song; it’s just not who I am,” he told Rolling Stone last year. “But I’m a huge fan and that’s why I love it. I get to go watch those people that I listen to, from the side of the stage. It’s such a win.”
