Junior H Performs With Peso Pluma, Tito Double P at Coachella 2025
Tito Double P joined the Mexican star for “5-7,” while Junior and Peso sang “Luna”
Junior H represented Mexico on the Coachella main stage, bringing out Peso Pluma and Tito Double P as special guests during his celebratory set at the festival.
”Viva México cabrones” were the first words to come out of Junior’s mouth as he took the stage. And he made sure to remind the crowd his set was a celebration of where he comes from.
Junior opened his set with “Mientras Duermes” and “Rockstar” before playing “La Cherry” and “Las Noches.”
Included on his setlist were Sad Boys 4 Life II tracks, including “Y Lloro” and “Las Noches,” which he told Rolling Stone in 2023 showcased the “evolution” of his music from the early days. “Mexican music has grown in such an inexplicable way that hasn’t been seen before,” he said at the time.
Coincidentally both onstage collaborations referenced the moon: Tito Double P joined Junior onstage first to perform the love song “5-7,” and Peso Pluma and Junior played “Luna” from his debut album Génesis.
”We need to unite now more than ever,” Peso Pluma said, as Junior replied, “Que vivan los corridos.”
Fans may have expected Junior and Peso to link up for a different song, specifically their first collaboration, “El Azul.” However, Junior joined Peso for that song at last year’s Coachella.
While it’s unclear why Junior didn’t perform any narco-mentioning songs, the show comes about two weeks after Mexican band Los Alegres del Barranco had their U.S. visas revoked for performing a song about the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
This is the third consecutive year that Peso Pluma graces the main stage at Coachella: Last year, he played a massive second-liner set, building a storyline speaking to the criticism surrounding the cartel-referencing lyrics of corridos. The previous year, he joined Becky G for “Chanel” and “Ella Baila Sola.”
