2 Milligan University Cyclists Killed in Crash

Two Milligan University students died and several more were injured after a car crash on Tennessee Highway 19E involving the university’s cycling team Wednesday.

Local news outlets reported that multiple medical helicopters responded to the crash and that the injured students are currently being treated at a nearby hospital.

“We are profoundly shocked and saddened to share that members of our cycling team were in an accident involving a vehicle this morning while cycling in Hampton, TN,” university leaders wrote in a statement. “There are no words to adequately describe this level of loss. Our prayers are with all those impacted by this tragedy. Please keep the Milligan community in your prayers.”
