Zayed University faces loss of Middle States accreditation
Zayed University, in the United Arab Emirates, faces the loss of its U.S. accreditation unless it can show the Middle States Commission on Higher Education why the accreditor should not withdraw its approval.
A show-cause order from Middle States Monday said that Zayed is “in imminent danger of closing” and “has demonstrated a lack of integrity, truthfulness or responsibility” that could result in harm to students.
Officials at Zayed, which Middle States has accredited since 2008, did not respond to email requests seeking comment.
