People We Meet on Vacation centres on unlikely best mates Poppy (portrayed by Emily Bader) and Alex (Tom Blyth), who go on annual holidays across the globe together, reports the Daily Record.
Despite living in separate cities and leading very different lifestyles, the pair establish this ritual during their university days and keep it going for ten years.
But Poppy and Alex’s bond faces trouble when they begin wondering whether they might actually be ideal romantic partners.
The official synopsis reveals: “Poppy’s a free spirit. Alex loves a plan. After years of summer vacations, these polar-opposite pals wonder if they could be a perfect romantic match.”
While Haley takes the helm as director, the romantic comedy’s screenplay was penned by Yulin Kuang, Amos Vernon and Nunzio Randazz. Fans will be delighted to know that Haley collaborated closely with the original author, Henry, to preserve beloved elements from the story.
