Strolling through the English countryside offers a paceful escape from day-to-day stress – particularly as the weather warms with spring’s approach.
This is precisely what inspired one couple to document their trek across the Cotswolds, calling it the “best trip” they’ve ever experienced.
TikTok user @offdayadventure revealed: “My husband and I walked 102 miles in the English countryside… here’s what it was like. It’s a trail called the Cotswolds Way.
“It took us nine days to complete, walking from hotels to BnBs each day. Some days we walked seven miles, other days we walked 18.
“The tour company we used transported our bags from place to place, so we only carried what we needed for the day – snacks, extra socks and band aids.
“We walked through picturesque villages, across open fields and past gardens that looked like something out of Alice in Wonderland.
“We made so many friends along the way – this guy wanted my sandwich! There are signs that point walkers in the right direction for all 102 miles.”
The Cotswolds Way begins in Chipping Campden and concludes in Bath, guiding ramblers through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty brimming with ancient commons, Neolithic burial barrows, grand estates and sites of historic battles.
However, she noted there was one element that made every challenging moment worthwhile – the panoramic vistas.
“The views were epic. You literally walk through scenery like this,” she remarked, posting footage of undulating verdant countryside.
“Along the way, we stayed in BnBs run by the sweetest families who always made us breakfast before we set off for the day. And at lunchtime, we always found a pub.”
Still captivated by what she’d witnessed, the woman reflected whilst uploading snaps from the adventure: “I was there and it still doesn’t feel real.

“102 miles later, we completed the Cotswolds Way. It was the hardest and most wonderful thing I’ve ever done. It’s incredible what nine days of walking can do for the soul. I can’t recommend this trip enough.
“Small villages, open fields, and a side of England most people never get to see. This was by far the best trip we’ve ever taken – let us inspire you to do something different.”
The video struck a chord with countless viewers, sparking widespread enthusiasm amongst those keen to set off on their own journey.
One follower said: “The British ‘right to roam’ is such a precious part of their society.”
Another added: “This! ! ! You have inspired me. I’m 53 and I’m booking the trip.”
A third person said: “I cannot imagine living in such beauty every day. I don’t think I’d ever come back to the States if I went there.”
Yet another added: “I did this walk with my wife and children after seeing your videos.
“We were watching a TV show set in the Cotswolds and talking about how pretty it was, then your videos showed up. About six months later, we were there – and we still talk about it every day.”
