“Why so sexy if so dumb? And how survive the earth so long?” Sabrina Carpenter has arrived at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, making the evening a damn good time.

Held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the superstar hit the stage wearing an all-white suit against an airport backdrop complete with a working baggage claim and backup dancers dressed as passengers, staff, an astronaut, and a man pulling a dove out of a top hat. She performed the Man’s Best Friend gem “Manchild.”

The performance marks Carpenter’s second year in a row performing at the ceremony; she rocked last year in a glittery old fashioned tuxedo jacket, performing a medley of Short n’ Sweet hits. And just like last year, she’s up for six awards again: Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, with “Manchild” scoring noms for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video.

Carpenter dropped “Manchild” last summer, and it debuted at Number One on the Billboard Hot 100, making it her fourth song to crack the Top 10. In her Rolling Stone cover story, her collaborator Jack Antonoff described the hit as “easily my favorite song we’ve ever done together. The things we did on the last album — things that people really loved — were just the start of places we wanted to take it. It’s like, ‘Oh, you like that? Well, just you wait.’ ”

“I’ve really just been making things, excited about them, and then continuing forth,” Carpenter told Rolling Stone. “Not to be dramatic, but what can I do while my legs still work? I’m limber, let’s use it. My brain is sharp, let’s write. I try not to get sad about the fact that nothing lasts forever, but genuinely, it’s such a beautiful time right now. I want to soak it up and keep making things while I’m feeling this way.”
