Watch Harry Styles Perform ‘Dance No More,’ Coming Up Roses’
Saturday Night Live host and musical guest Harry Styles performed two songs from his new album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally
Styles, who launched the 12-track album at a show in Manchester, England last week, opened with “Dance No More.”
The English singer wrote or co-wrote all the songs on his fourth studio album, which Rolling Stone‘s Joe Levy called “delightfully strange, often lovely, and consistently fascinating.” Kid Harpoon, a frequent Styles collaborator, produced it with Tyler Johnson. Additional tracks include “Aperture” and “American Girls.”
Styles’ second performance, after being introduced by Paul Simon, was of “Coming Up Roses.”
Styles, 32, is supporting his album with the Together, Together Tour, which consists of 50 residency shows across seven cities worldwide: Amsterdam, London, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, New York, Melbourne and Sydney. He is scheduled for 30 shows at Madison Square Garden from August through Halloween.
Styles last toured in 2023 for Fine Line and Harry’s House, his second and third albums. Afterward, as fans were eager for more output, Styles said he was willing to wait awhile until he knew what he wanted to create.
“Something I’ve often struggled with, in the middle of a tour, is feeling like I’m not sure what I’m giving, not sure what I’m adding to the world,” he told Runner’s World. “Especially when the reward system and the kind of…adulation that you can receive feels so loud. Like clearly I’m getting so much from this, I’m getting all this energy. People are giving me so much, which I deeply appreciate. But what am I contributing? At times I felt quite existential about that.”
The former member of boy band One Direction last appeared on SNL as a solo act in 2019 after having debuted on the late night show two years prior.
