“That was a childhood dream come fucking true,” the musician acknowledged during the show

Jelly Roll enlisted Eminem for a rendition of the rapper’s 2002 hit “Lose Yourself” at Detroit’s Ford Field on Sunday night. Jelly Roll started the Oscar-winning song himself before being joined by Eminem for the second verse.

“Detroit, what up?! Make some noise for Jelly Roll!” Eminem shouted at the end of the song. “Long time, no see. I love y’all. Peace!”

As he left the stage, Jelly Roll affirmed, “If you can’t tell, that was a childhood dream come fucking true, Detroit. This is the greatest show I’ve ever had in my fucking life.” He added that Eminem’s music “helped me through the darkest moments of my life.”

Jelly Roll is currently out on his Big Ass Stadium Tour, which continues tomorrow in Minneapolis. The global trek runs through Sept. 14 when it wraps in Lisbon, Portugal. The musician recently appeared with Post Malone at Coachella and performed a star-studded headlining set at Stage Coach, which included appearances by Lana Del Rey, MGK, Wiz Khalifa, and Shaboozey.
