Wake Up Dead Man Netflix release unveiled in Daniel Craig’s Knives Out 3 trailer | Films | Entertainment
Three years on from Glass Onion and Rian Johnson returns to write and direct his third Knives Out murder mystery.
Starring Daniel Craig as southern sleuth Benoit Blanc, the film’s title once again is based on a pop song that hints at the film’s plot.
Knives Out was Radiohead, and Glass Onion was The Beatles, and now Wake Up Dead Man is a track by U2.
The latest Netflix whodunnit appears to be set in England, given that Josh O’Connor stars as a Church of England vicar approaching his parish in the first teaser trailer.
This follows the American setting of Knives Out and the Greek island in Glass Onion.
The upcoming film also co-stars Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church. Wake Up Dead Man is streaming on Netflix from December 12, 2025 and will presumably receive a limited cinematic release too. Both Craig and Johnson intend to continue making Benoit Blanc mysteries together as long as both are involved.
