Victorian home tour leaves people baffled as they spot ‘wild’ detail

An influencer offered a glimpse inside her Victorian home and people were left “obsessed” with the numerous eccentric, “wild” and “random” features she’s woven throughout it. There’s a growing phenomenon of people providing sneak peeks into their homes while the song House Tour, from popstar Sabrina Carpenter’s new album Man’s Best Friend, soundtracks the footage.

Micarah Tewers is an American content creator and fashion designer celebrated for her whimsical flair, alongside her talent for recreating celebrity gowns at bargain prices. Back in 2020, Tewers garnered 12 million views on a YouTube video showcasing her version of Ariana Grande’s grey tulle ballgown by Giambattista Valli, which the star donned to the Grammy Awards that year. Micarah succeeded in crafting a duplicate of the designer dress for just £29.65 ($40).

Around a year ago, the content creator acquired a Victorian mansion and has been gradually adding her distinctive touches to the property.

The residence boasts numerous fireplaces and chandeliers, plus a ballroom, loft space, vast cellar and many other additional rooms.

In a recent clip posted to TikTok, Micarah, 30, revealed various glimpses of her extravagant property, including the cellar – where she showed herself mixing a cauldron – a moveable bookshelf hiding a secret stairway, a Marie Antoinette-inspired, powder blue bedroom, and plenty more.

When she revealed a peek at her loft space, it caused quite a stir.

Micarah owns an enormous prop rodent which looks to be from the beloved 1987 fantasy movie, The Princess Bride. In the film’s mythology, these enormous rats – referred to as Rodents Of Unusual Size or ROUS’s – are massive creatures that inhabit fire swamps.

In the comments section, fellow TikTok users were eager to share their thoughts – with many distracted by the sight of the giant rat.

One individual exclaimed: “I’m so sorry BUT WAS THAT A RAT OF UNUSUAL SIZE”.

Another commented: “Something about a pretty girl being weird is everything to me”.

A third queried: “HOW DID YOU GET A FIRE SWAMP RAT FROM THE PRINCESS BRIDE?!?!?”

While a fourth said: “Each room was more random and wild than the last. 10/10. no notes”.

Someone else shared: “Mind you this is my first impression of you and I’m obsessed”.

Another jested: “Nice to see influencers rescuing instead of buying from a breeder. So rare to find ethically sourced fire swamp rats. It looks so healthy – lovely coat”.

A further person commented: “Girl your house got CRAZY COOL, I haven’t seen it since you bought it!!”

Again referencing the rat, another person shared an image of Cary Elwes in The Princess Bride and said: “Hold up is that a piece of history I see on your back ma’am”.

Another quipped: “I love whatever is wrong with you”.

While someone else added: “Some of these comments clearly haven’t followed Micarah for years to know that this is just who she is lol”.
