‘Very odd’ film about clone of Donald Trump streaming now on Amazon Prime | Films | Entertainment

A bizarre animated sci-fi caper about a clone of Donald Trump who takes on alien creatures called The Illuminati is streaming now in the UK. Amazon Prime‘s teaser blurb for Trump Vs The Illuminati (2020) reads: “A Chinese clone of 45th U.S. president, Donald J. Trump, survives the Earth’s destruction by escaping his maximum security lab and stowing-away aboard the last Chinese space-bound shuttle.

“Hundreds of years into the future Trump‘s clone joins forces with the surviving human allies to bring the battle straight to the Illuminati headquarters…in hell!” The science fiction comedy was written and directed by BC Fourteen. It’s fair to say most fans weren’t bowled over by it, reflected in a poor 2.1/10 score on IMDb.

One viewer wrote: “Trump vs the Illuminati” is a CGI animated movie that you should give a wide berth. Some of us suffered through this ordeal in parts or in whole, so you don’t have to waste your time, money or effort.

“My rating of this 2020 CGI animated movie lands on a mere one out of ten stars. It was boring, uneventful, had outdated CGI animations and were just downright ludicrous to sit through.”

Another said they couldn’t make it through five minutes, calling it the “single most idiotic film I have seen”.

“It made films like; Laserblast (1978), Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966), Ankle Biters (2002) look like Oscar contenders by comparison.”

However, one gave it a 10/10 for being so bad it’s good. They wrote: “Yes it’s a bad movie. But it’s so bad that it is comical. Over the top and cheesy. Everything about this movie was hilarious. I laughed the entire way through this very odd movie.”

Another also gave it a perfect score, writing: “The bad reviews are amusing, but not as amusing as this flick. If you can’t enjoy this movie for what it is, then you are no fun.

“If you don’t understand that this is funnier with the visuals as is, then you are definitely no fun.”

A third said: I found this to be an enjoyable animated sci-fi parody/satire. Cool visuals and some well-written, fun, intentionally over-the-top dialog as well. The Trump in this movie is much more likable than the real. I give this an 8/10.
