The $40 million Melania Trump movie made just £33,000 at the UK box office in its opening weekend, almost failing to hit the Top 30.

Despite sitting at just 5% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, Donald Trump fans have hit the fan on Popcornmeter, bringing it up to 99% audience approval for the controversial new documentary film.

Although the movie is focused on the First Lady, President Trump does feature throughout in the couple’s 20 day run up to their 2nd inauguration last year.

But for those who have seen the film, did you spot the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment that hints at Trump’s third term intentions?

The 47th president has Trump 2028 hats on sale and hasn’t exactly shut down calls for him to run for an unconstitutional third term. But if the ending of the Melania movie is anything to go by, the Trumps will be leaving the White House once again in January 2029. The evidence for this is found alongside the official 2nd-term photo portrait of the First Lady, displayed just before the end credits.

Underneath the photograph, it says “First Lady 2017-2021 and 2025-2029”. Of course, it’s unusual to set an end date three years out, as the president (and thus his First Lady) may leave office mid-term, either willingly or unwillingly, via resignation, impeachment, or death. This aside, Melania, who had editorial control over this documentary, approved 2029 as the day she would stop being First Lady. If that’s anything to go by, it suggests the Trumps truly do intend to leave office after two terms and make way for another Republican candidate for 2028, like Vice President JD Vance.
