President Donald Trump is kicking off his first major overseas trip with a four-day visit to the Middle East, with all three countries being places where the Trump administration is developing major real estate projects. The tour comes as the president is defending his decision to accept a luxury jet from the Qatari government as the White House says the “legal details” are still being “worked out” on the proposed deal. “I could be a stupid person and say, ‘oh no, we don’t want a free plane,’” he said. NBC’s Peter Alexander reports for TODAY.
