Top 10 Superman movies ranked and Christopher Reeve original is No 3 | Films | Entertainment
This weekend marks the release of the latest Superman reboot with David Corenswet taking up the role after Henry Cavill. Now, film fans have ranked the top 10 Superman movies on IMDb to determine the very best outings of the Man of Steel himself, Kal-El. However, the much-loved Christopher Reeve original only came in at No 3. Fans should note there are only 10 major live-action Superman movies, so cameo appearances in the likes of Shazam, The Flash and Black Adam do not count, nor does 1984’s Supergirl.
10. Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987)
Considered one of the worst superhero films ever made, Christopher Reeve reluctantly returned once again as the Man of Steel. The star only came back on the condition of his large salary, some creative control and a nuclear disarmament storyline. Yet just prior to filming, producer The Cannon Group had a serious financial crisis, which forced budget cuts, while negative test screenings resulted in 45 minutes being left on the cutting room floor.
