Hollywood has struggled to reach the heights of the last decade, but 2026 could well be a return to form at the box office. Check out our Top 10 movies and their release dates for 2026 at the cinema.
10. The Devil Wears Prada 2 (May 1)
The most-watched movie trailer of last year was for the sequel to this 2006 classic. Based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel of the same name, The Devil Wears Prada follows Anne Hathaway’s aspiring journalist Andy Sachs, who starts working at a fashion magazine edited by Meryl Streep’s icy Miranda Priestly. Sequel novel Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns is the basis for the new film, which co-stars Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Tracie Thoms and Tabor Feldman.

9. Toy Story 5 (June 19)
Seven years after the last adventure, Tom Hanks’ Woody and Tim Allen’s Buzz return as their respective toys. The synopsis reads: “Since Woody left Bonnie to help abandoned toys find owners, Jessie has led the charge in Bonnie’s room, with Buzz Lightyear as her second-in-command. However, an eight-year-old Bonnie has become enamored of her new favorite plaything, a frog-like tablet named Lilypad.”
