Fans of twisty thrillers are in for a treat as a neo-noir mystery is now available to stream for free.

The film was directed by David Fincher, who is also known for his work on Fight Club.

Starring some huge names like Daniel Craig and Robin Wright, the film follows the disappearance of a girl from 40 years previously.

The casting process for the lead roles was intense and the script took more than six months to write, but the hard work paid off as the film received widespread critical acclaim.

The film received particular praise for the cast, tone and cinematography, with viewers taking to Rotten Tomatoes to share their thoughts and urge other people to watch.

Frans B said: “David Fincher did good here. Stellar cast all excels in character. Intelligently written, fast-moving and complex plot. Great cinematography, the intro is a work of art in itself. Lots of action, intrigue, twists, drama and suspense. Very engaging and entertaining.”

“It is spot on. That je ne sais quoi of the stunning and the subdued in harmony, that is so difficult to achieve, but so necessary to film like this, is flawlessly executed.”

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo won numerous prestigious awards and it was named the best film of 2011 by MTV and ReelViews.

A soft reboot and sequel, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, was released in October 2018, but it was considered to be a box-office bomb.
