The HP OmniStudio X’s webcam can watch your work desk

HP has announced several spec bumps for its 2026 computing hardware lineup at CES, and its all-in-one desktop PCs are no exception. The latest 27-inch OmniStudio X is being updated with Intel’s next-gen processors and Nvidia’s RTX 5050 GPU with 8GB of VRAM, alongside new features that make it easier to share your work with colleagues, classmates, and clients.

The built-in webcam that sits on top of the OmniStudio X’s display can now be tilted downwards during presentations, allowing users to showcase their deskspace. HP has also added Thunderbolt Share to its all-in-one desktop, which allows two Thunderbolt 4 or 5 PCs to be connected together with a Thunderbolt cable to easily drag and drop large files between both devices.

Nvidia’s RTX 5050 is hardly a powerhouse, but HP is also offering all-AMD and Intel OmniStudio models that run with integrated graphics for folks who don’t use graphically demanding software. These base OmniStudio models are available in 27-inch and 23.8-inch display sizes, with the larger versions provided in white or black and additional blue and purple color options for the smaller models.

These releases come with a few nitpicks — there’s no mention if the larger 31.5-inch OmniStudio X is also being updated, and the 4K resolution display on the previous 27-inch model has shrunk to QHD for this latest release, for example. HP hasn’t yet shared any release dates or pricing for any of the OmniStudio models it announced today.
