The first months of the New Year can be tough on your wallet. Post-Christmas can be an extremely tight time of year financially. In fact, research shows that by January 21, the average Brit has run out of spending money. Sam Wilson, director at Gadget GoGo, says millions of households are unknowingly sitting on hundreds of pounds’ worth of unused tech during what is often the tightest month of the year. He said: “Many households are sitting on tech worth hundreds.  Most people don’t realise just how much value is locked in the devices they no longer use. Selling now can mean avoiding overdraft fees or clearing credit cards.”
