You may have some hidden DVDs at home that could be worth selling.

Some DVD collections could be worth up to £350, and they might just be lying around at the back of your cupboard.

In many households, Brits still haven’t got rid of their old DVD collection, and if you’re one of those people, now might be a great time to look.

Some people presume DVDs are a thing of the past, but many still value having a trusty hard copy collection of their favourites.

Bally Casino has researched which DVDs could fetch you some cash. Before Netflix and Amazon Prime, these DVDs were a staple for many homes.

They also recruited collectables expert Tracy Martin to provide her expertise on recognising value and getting the most out of your items.

The most expensive DVD is the Carry On Film Collection, a complete box set of all 31 films made over their 34-year span.

The average price for the entire collection is a huge £350.

Another film set that could be worth some money is Monty Python and the Holy Grail – the limited edition castle box set could fetch you around £300.

Blade Runner Ultimate collector’s edition could also get you an impressive £300, along with The Godfather box set, worth the same amount.

Tracy said: “Collectable value can be due to rarity, different variants to the norm, oddities (misspellings on DVD cases or books), nostalgia – people buying back their memories, limited edition and basic supply and demand.

“There are so many reasons things are collectable. People don’t always recognise they have things of value, which is why they turn to valuers like me or do their own research online.

“Always research to ensure you get the best price achievable for your collectable by looking to see what similar items have sold for in the past.”

Tracy suggested that finding a good selling platform is key to getting a good price for your items.

She also said it is essential to set a reasonable price for the item you are selling.

While certain DVDs have begun to make a comeback, CDs could be next to increase in value.

With the popularity of vinyl already hugely increased, it would be no surprise to see CDs make a comeback as well.
