Tesco has issued an urgent product recall notice for one of its Valentine’s Day items. The supermarket has released a range of gifts to celebrate the romantic day, yet one of them has now been pulled from shelves.

F&F Home Valentine’s ‘You’ll Do’ XL Mug presents a risk of burns. Customers have been warned not to use the product and return the item to Tesco for a full refund. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) issued a recall notice for the product, which has the barcode 5063446721248.

All batches of the mug are included in the recall. The item is described as being a black mug with white ‘you’ll do’ text and a red heart.

The OPSS said: “The product presents a risk of burns as it is possible for the mug to crack when boiling water is poured into it, leaking hot liquid onto the user.

“The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.”

Along with the recall notice, the OPSS added: “We recommend owners stop using the product immediately and return the product to your local Tesco store for a full refund.”

Tesco also shared the recall notice with its customers. The supermarket urged: “If you’ve bought an affected product, please stop using it immediately. Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.”

For anyone who needs more information, they have been told to use Tesco’s ‘contact us’ page. Customers in Ireland can contact Tesco Customer Services on 1800248123.

Just last week, Tesco issued a food recall notice as “hard white plastic” was found in Brioche Pasquier’s Pitch Chocolate and Hazelnut Brioches. The bakery items have been sold in Tesco as well as Asda and Ocado.

Anyone who has bought a six-pack bag with a best before date of March 4 2026 can return them. The Food Standards Authority warned the product is “unsafe to eat” due to the plastic.

The affected products are the Pitch Chocolate-filled 225g (6×37.5g) packs with UK 034 batch code. It is unclear how the plastic ended up in the brioches.
