Taiwan said it responded to four Chinese coast guard ships that were sailing in prohibited waters near the Taiwanese-controlled island of Kinmen. In response to the alleged intrusion of its waters, Taiwan said it dispatched four of its own coast guard vessels to conduct one-on-one monitoring alongside the four Chinese ships.
