Rosalia’s ‘SNL’ Performance Spikes ‘Magnolias’ Streams
The Spanish singer’s evocative performance went viral this week
Rosalía’s “Magnolias” is getting its flowers. The song just saw an astounding 336 percent surge in Spotify streams in the U.S. on Oct. 12, according to data shared with Rolling Stone.
What led to the Spanish singer’s streaming bump? Well, her evocative Saturday Night Live performance. On Oct. 10, Rosalía delivered a stunning rendition of the soaring track as rain poured down on her onstage. That same night, Rosalía also performed another song from her masterful album Lux, “Reliquia,” which saw a 150 percent spike in streams. By Sunday night, videos from both performances went viral on social media as online users marveled at the Spanish singer’s operatic vocals and orchestral melodies.
“Magnolias” and “Reliquia” weren’t the only songs off of Lux that saw impressive streaming jumps. “Mundo Nuevo” saw a 60 percent increase and streams for “Divinize” were up 142 percent. It seems audiences were so moved by Rosalía’s SNL performances that they were finally tuning into the non-singles from her latest album. Released in November 2025, Rosalía’s fourth album saw the Spanish singer tap into her background as a classically trained musician and incorporate 13 different languages into the project.
While new fans seem to be tapping into the album, this latest streaming bump isn’t the first time the Spanish singer has experienced streaming feats on Spotify. Last year, after the release of Lux, Rosalía made Spotify history when the album garnered more than than 42.1 million streams on the platform on the first day of release, making her the female Spanish-language artist with the most streams in 24 hours.
