Roman’s ‘flattering’ occasion midi dress gets ‘lots of compliments’

Choosing a statement dress can be challenging when there are so many options out there. But luckily for shoppers, Roman has a midi dress, available in multiple colours, which shoppers are praising as ‘gorgeous’ and ‘flattering’. 

The Fit & Flare Midi Dress is currently available from Roman for £65. It comes in the colours royal blue, black, navy, red and ivory spot print (£60) and sizes 10 to 20 – although some are out of stock at the moment. 

This ‘sophisticated’ piece boasts a boat neckline and sleeveless design, creating a flattering fit shape. Plus, the dress has cap sleeves and finishes at a midi length with a pleated skirt ‘for added movement and style’, the site says. 

It is crafted from a satin woven fabric and is lined for added warmth, and Roman advises to pair it with heels and a bolero for a special occasion look. To care for the dress, shoppers will be pleased to hear that it is machine washable.

As an alternative, fashion fans could opt for this Textured Satin Short Sleeve Twist Front Midi Dress from Next for £46. This comes in the colours black, chocolate brown, emerald green and green/ecru (£72), sizes 4 to 26 depending on stock levels, and regular and petite fits. It is crafted from a hammered satin fabric and features a ‘super flattering’ twist-front detail. 

Or at New Look, there’s this Textured Jersey Puff Sleeve Smock Midi Dress available for £22.49, down from £29.99, in the colour khaki. This also comes in black (£29.99) and burgundy (£29.99) and sizes 6 to 20, and it features a crew neck, short puff sleeves and an elasticated bodice. 

Back to the Fit & Flare Midi Dress from Roman, shoppers have written rave reviews. One said: “I love this gorgeous blue dress. I have had lots of compliments.”

Another added: “I love the colour and the flattering style. It does look big on the models but I am hoping it’s just what they had available when modelling.”
