RoC’s eye balm erases bags under my eyes so I look well rested

When it comes to layering skincare and putting on multiple creams, I prefer to avoid skin contact contact as much as I can. That means I always look for products like sprays, mists or stick products and this RoC Multi-Correxion Revive + Glow Vitamin C Eye Balm is just what I need for my everyday routine and travelling.

The eye balm is a brightening and firming workhorse bottled in stick form, designed for those who need an instant pick-me-up to reduce puffiness under eyes. Currently stocked at Boots on offer, shoppers can get the eye balm for £21.99 instead of £32.99.

I take this with me whenever I travel and despite eye creams coming in 15ml or 30ml pots, which work perfectly for the under 100ml rule, the solid balm texture ensures there’s no leakage or spillage in my luggage. Simply glide the balm on the undereyes area and it’s done.

There’s no dabbing and rubbing, it kept my hands clean and I can move on to face cream and sunscreen. But it leaves a slight sheen and sticky sensation on skin, which I am not a big fan of. There are other alternatives that provide extra features like a precision applicator or a metal roller ball to massage. Both Pixi Detoxi-eye Eye Serum, £22, and BioEffect EGF Eye Serum tick the box and the latter one contains anti-ageing ingredients to fight against wrinkles.

I used the RoC eye cream on the day after my late night arrival in Cascais, Portugal and it depuffed my bags and with the help of concealers, the dark shades under my eyes improved within an hour. The result is best described as if I cheated eight hours of sleep and looked more energised

Bear in mind that the RoC eye balm is no miracle and the brand stated that it ‘visibly reduces puffiness over time’. The eye balm is lightweight and it saves up space when most of us struggle to fit every under 100ml liquid in a transparent plastic bag. For those looking for other options, Refy’s Cooling Eye Balm, £18, could be one to try, it’s infused with hyaluronic acid and caffeyelike vita.
