With summer in full swing, warmer weather means hosting season for a huge amount of households so there’s no better time to get your home looking its best. If you’re having a barbeque, you might need to get your oven ready as a back up to cook some extra dishes or sides in there. You’ll want to ensure your oven is clean and ready to go for any spontaneous warm weather barbeques.

You can get your oven sparkling clean in time with a natural go-to remedy that will deep clean your oven in just 10 minutes.Oven cleaning can be time-consuming even if you do not have the right products to do the job and many of us do not want to use harsh chemical cleaners when we cook food.

Both white vinegar and baking soda are often suggested as natural solutions to remove stains, but one woman has claimed there is a much better way to get your oven clean.

On Net Mums one commentator was struggling to remove the grease from their oven, and wanted a simple and eco-friendly cleaning method.

They wrote: “Can anyone suggest a good oven cleaner? I would prefer a natural cleaner if possible. I can’t stand the fumes of all these oven cleaners.”

A woman named Jo shared that soda crystals are the best item to get rid of grease and lingering stains that are tough to remove.

Jo wrote: “I used a bag of soda crystals from Wilko (quite powdery, not too crystally) and a spray bottle of water.

“Spray [the] base of [the] oven and door, pour over crystals in a thin-ish later, [and] spray again to make a damp, but thick paste. Leave overnight and remove [the] brown gunge that you find.

“Hey ho, clean oven for me and happy three-year-old that got to ‘help’, and no nasty fumes! Cheap too.”

Soda crystals are highly alkaline which means they are highly effective at cutting through acidic grease, oils and any burned stains on your oven.

The crystals are a chemical-free alternative to commercial oven cleaners but it works quickly to remove tough stains and it’s easier to wipe away.

All you have to do is pour a generous amount of powdered soda crystals around your oven and leave it for at least 10 to 30 minutes.

You should apply a small amount of warm water until it forms a thick paste and spread the paste around the greasy or burned parts of your oven.

Once the time is up, use a damp scrubbing brush to wipe away the loosened grease and grime. After this, you should rinse the oven with clean warm water to remove any leftover residue.

With this simple hack, you can ensure your oven will be ready to go for barbeque season.
