Razer’s new Huntsman V3 Pro 8kHz keyboard promises speed with improved typing feel
Razer is announcing a new Huntsman V3 Pro 8kHz keyboard for esports-level competition and speed-obsessed PC gamers. The newest version of Razer’s top-end wired keyboard supports 8,000Hz polling (both upstream and downstream), and it’s got new analog optical switches designed to minimize interference and prioritize speed. Razer claims it put a big emphasis on typing feel and sound this time, using dense foam layers and pre-lubed switches like in its BlackWidow V4.
While foam and lube are staples of the enthusiast mechanical keyboard community, the new Huntsman is not hot-swappable. The switches are soldered and the chassis is built more for durability than tinkering with mods. The customizability is focused on competitive features like adjustable actuation points, rapid trigger, and Razer’s Snap Tap — all accessible on the board itself with physical controls.
The Huntsman V3 Pro 8kHz appeared a little early in Razer’s new esports green collection, but in addition to that radioactive color it’s also available now in full-size or tenkeyless layouts in black and white — ranging from $219.99 to $249.99.
