Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets will arrive on June 6

Rascal Flatts are cruising toward the release of their forthcoming collaborative studio album Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets. Out June 6, the project recruits nine featured guests to reimagine classic releases from the band as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut, plus another act to join them on their latest single “I Dare You.”

Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets kicks off with a Jonas Brothers appearance on “I Dare You.” Across the record, Backstreet Boys assist on “What Hurts the Most,” while Kelly Clarkson appears on “I’m Movin’ On” and Carly Pearce features on “My Wish.” Other featured guests include Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Brandon Lake, Ashley Cooke, Jordan Davis, and Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale (who recently lent her pipes to Brooks & Dunn’s supercharged remake of “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”).

“It was such an honor to create this project with such incredibly talented artists, it’s a pretty indescribable feeling having your colleagues and friends do your songs in such unique ways and knock your socks off with the results,” Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox shared in a statement. “This album is just another attempt for us to thank our fans for the blessings they’ve given us on this crazy journey the past 25 years, thanks for riding along with us!”

The band shared “I Dare You” in late January ahead of the Life Is a Highway tour. “We’re so excited to kick off this next chapter of Rascal Flatts with this single, working with Kevin, Joe and Nick is such a blast, they’re class acts,” bassist Jay DeMarcus said in a statement at the time. “I think this song fits perfectly into our catalog while also showing off something new and exciting, and we can’t wait to share it with our fans on the road!”
