Prince William and the Princess of Wales were among those who arrived to celebrate the annual seasonal lunch alongside the King and Queen.

But while most guests opted for their own cars as they made their way through the palace gates, Princess Margaret’s son decided to arrive by bicycle. This unique choice sparked a frenzy among royal fans and quietly reinforced his reputation for doing things his own way.

The 64-year-old, who is reportedly worth a whopping £30 million, pedalled through the palace gates wearing a high-visibility jacket over his suit.
